Helping Out our Local Community

Oct 23, 2012

I was thinking about how a business fits in the community and noted that businesses can’t really operate in a vacuum. They are part of something larger and need to help out those non-profits that struggle, especially in difficult times. Sign companies are in a good position to offer banners, A-boards, vinyl graphics, or discounts on permanent signage. This is something that reputable sign companies do and customers shouldn’t be shy about asking how a sign company helps the non-profit community. I decided to do a tally of some of the non-profits Security Signs has helped. This week alone we have provided free or discounts to Summa Institute, the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce, and the Kids Cooking Corner. Other non-profits whose efforts we appreciate and have helped are: Goodwill Industries, Junior Achievement, The Community Housing Resource Center, Evergreen Habitat for Humanity, The HFH ReStore, LaSalle High School, St. Thomas More School, Rotary International, The Camas-Washougal Rotary, Oregon Humane Society, Southwest Washington Humane Society, West Columbia Gorge Humane Society, and others. Every little bit helps these groups do their important work. It’s the least we can do to help.
